We use a variety of tools to help make sure you get excellent data quality on Prolific. These include participant verification, IP and ISP reviews, and continued account checks. Unfortunately, sometimes low-quality submissions still happen. We're keen to look into these participants as soon as we can so we encourage you to report them to us.
You can now report participants directly from your study's submissions page! You can indicate the participants you wish to report using the checkboxes on the left-hand side, and then selecting 'report':
Alternatively, you can select 'report' without first indicating the participants and insert the relevant participant IDs in the pop-up box instead. When submitting the report, you will be asked to provide your reasons for reporting the participants and to indicate your desired outcome:
Please make sure your formatting is correct before you submit your report. You'll need to add the participant ID, the reason for reporting, and the desired outcome, all separated with commas and no spaces. For example:
1234ParticipantID,Failed multiple attention checks,Investigate participant
We will then look further into this and take any appropriate action.
